One output of fabb.link: double-curved formwork for casting. Geometry, robot programs, and hotwire cutting run as one pipeline — the chain behind the SALT commission, here producing molds. What fills them is open; first castings ran GFRC, components formed in foam, through to a finished piece at 1:1.
The same logic runs upstream and up in scale: FABB’s Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality urban furniture competition entry, first honorable mention in 2020, was drawn entirely in ruled surfaces. A design family of street furniture, fabricable as drawn. The cutting is the routine part. The system that decides what to cut is the work.
