fabb.link is FABB’s own toolchain, connecting Rhino3D directly to industrial robots. Generative scripts produce the robot programs themselves — generated, simulated, and verified before a machine moves — across changing fabrication methods, materials, dimensions, and end-effectors. Around it, purpose-built end-effectors and peripheral systems; inside it, most recently, a custom inverse-kinematics solver running in Rhino, now in beta.
Every FABB project runs through it. The thousand individually-programmed ornament pieces at SALT, the six re-derived fabrication methods of docendo discimus instrumantae, the choreography of Speck — one chain, end to end. No export, no third-party software between the geometry and the machine. It began before it was funded: FABB was driving robots from CAD in 2014, and the research grant that followed formalized the link. The toolchain has been growing since.
