FABB, focusing on robotic fabrication technologies in the fields of architecture and construction, was founded in 2015 through a tech-entrepreneurship fund of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology of Turkey and the supports of ITU ARI TechnoPark by architects Burcu Biçer Saner (YTU B.Sc., Cornell University M.Arch) and Efe Gözen (ITU B.Sc., TU Delft M.Sc.).
Conducting applied research parallel to global technological developments in the process of design/fabrication, FABB also caters to creative industries with unique applications involving the use of industrial robotic arms.
Burcu and Efe investigates the integration of design and fabrication, computational design and interactive environments in courses, lectures and workshops they tutor at various academic institutions.
